Between Pontianak Menjerit (Vampire Screaming) & Moving

We went to the movies last Friday night after work. Since Saturday & Sunday will be the moving into-the-new house days, we decided to do some activities before that. So, movie it was.
Initally, we planned to watch Batman Begins or Mr a& Mrs Smith but since the show time were quite late, we settled on local Malay production, Pontianak Menjerit.

Some people would probably be making faces and wondering why on earth we watched that film. At first, we were skeptical as well , ya, remembering the last Malay movie we watched, Mistik, was a complete waste of money. All we can see was people running around frantically and Rita Rudaini’s annoying laughter.

But Pontianak Menjerit proved to be something else. One most apparent feel that the movie succeeded in portraying was the humour. The movie was amazingly hilarious. Combining the elements of comedy and horror, the movie started by gathering all heirs of Datuk Pengiran Abdul Rahman for a will reading session. One incident leads to another and ghosts were seen and people were missing.

It was not much of a horror movie, even the ghosts were funny and don’t look real but the comedy message managed to reach the audience. One thing for sure, Mazlan Pet-Pet and Sheila Rusly were brilliant.

If you’re looking for a good laugh and need to loosen up, I suggest go and watch this movie. Don’t put any hopes on hi-tech special effects stuff coz you won’t find them in here, just enjoy the comedy & storyline. Doesn't hurt to support our local film.It was worth my RM16. And it was definitely enjoyful watching Aqus laughing until he almost fell of his seat.

Btw, my body is sore all over and I am drained out of all energy. Moving house was definitely a strenuous task. Glad that we managed to get everything moved last weekend. There’s still a lot to do at the new house, boxes to unpack and furniture to arrange. Right now, I am closing one eye to that. I am taking a break at the moment, will continue unpacking on this weekend.
