Garfield & The Voice In His Head

Five Level Of Madness

It's a mad, mad world but we don't have to be mad. Identify these symptoms of madness before it gets to you.

Level 1. Coincidence: you start to NOTICE synchronicities around you. Around 4-6 a day. For example, you're in a chat room and listening to music at the same time. In the song you're listening to, someone says the words "Why not?" and a second later, or at exactly the same time, the words "Why Not?" appear on your screen as part of a conversation. Or else, you are thinking of onions for some reason and the radio is on and at that moment someone mentions onions on the radio. *Most* people do not notice these things. This is in the realm of AWARENESS.

Level 2: Significance: These coincidences start to happen more and more and each time they do you FEEL an eerie significance even though you can't say what the significance is. This is akin to Richard Dreyfuss saying "This is important, this means something" while pointing to a pile of mashed potatoes in Close Encounters of the Third Kind. This is in the realm of FEELING.

Level 3: Ideas: You start to get ideas about the 'significant coincidences'. These ideas, are actually not correct or at least not in sync with consensus reality. For example, you notice that the light outside the door of the door of your particular apartment, the light in the hallway is a LITTLE bit brighter than the other lights in the hallway. You get the IDEA that this is because someone has replaced it with a cancer-causing radiation emitter. Probably someone in the government. But you don't BELIEVE this...this is in the realm of a THOUGHT.

Level 4: Connection:
If the thoughts are persistent, each of the significant coincidences that you notice and have thoughts about start to relate to each other, in a way that are meaningful to you. For example, you may hear a hum come through your apartment and get the persistent idea that it is from members of the government, that have taken up residence in an adjacent apartment, sending cancer causing rays toward you. Combined with the other idea of the light, and further ideas, more and more 'evidence' is being accumulated. These 'meaningful connections' usually have a grandiose, religious, or sinister bent to them.
In other words, each of these moments/ideas are like stars in a constellation 'forming' in your mind the outline of a giant scorpion in the sky (or a boat or a donkey or whatever else is culturally (read: personally) significant). Everytime you look at the constellation you MAY BELIEVE you see a giant scorpion. This is in the realm of BELIEF.

Level 5: Disconnection: You disconnect from reality, or at least consensus reality. Not only do you see a scorpion in the sky but the scorpion comes down and talks to you. It also imports to you, possibly, knowledge that you might not have any business knowing, or otherwise not know. This is the realm of the shaman and the collective unconsciousness. Strange events occur. You can 'see into the future', have remote viewing or out of body experiences, ghosts tap the back of your chair, etc. This, debatedly, at least from the Western point of view, is known as 'your mind playing major tricks on you'.

Only we know and understand ourselves better. Don't get any mad ideas in your head. If things aren't working well or you started listening to voices in your head..hey got get help OK?

Nostradamus Azalea Heh Heh Part II

Watching the girls performed on American Idol 4 last night, I think American viewers are going to have a tough time deciding who will be their next idol. Most of the performances were brilliant especially from my top two favourites Carrie Underwood & Vonzell Solomon. Joining them on good performances were Nadya Turner and Lindsey Cardinale. Almost all of them did good anyway, all can sing. I was really blown by Carrie's voice. Hmm... she's got potential, that girl not to mention looking damn good in that black dress..ehehe. Vonzell & Nadya both performed energetic songs and looking good as well. But i think out of all finalists, Lindsey is the prettiest. She's got good voice too. A complete package. Carrie's cute (sounding like Lee Ann Rimes and looking like a combo of Reese Witherspoon + Kelly Clarkson). Nadya is one of a kind, cute in a wild way...love those hair of hers. Ermmm..here's my top 6 female finalists prediction:

1. Carrie Underwood
2. Vonzell Solomon
3. Nadya Turner
4. Lindsey Cardinale
5. Jessica Sierra
6.Mikalah Gordon

For sure the results are going to sway from my predictions but I'm keeping my hopes up for my top 2 female and top 2 male finalists. We'll see 2 girls + 2 boys leaving the competition tonight.
Hopefully, my favourite finalists, Carrie, Vonzell, Mario and Anwar will be consistent and maintain energetic performances. Try to be an idol with a unique personality and not impersonation of other artists. Consistency is the key factor. Yep. Consistency

Which Movie Hero Or Villian Are You?

Ha ha...found this quiz from the website.

Hero:
Spiderman huh? Not too bad, but I kinda think that out of all Superheroes, Spiderman leads the most depressing and miserable life. He looked miserable and sad most of the time. Dunno was it him or just Tobey Maguire....spiderman the cartoon is better, he's more cheerful and positive.

Villian:
So, I'm Agen Smith from The Matrix ey..COOL. He's one of the best villian around.
Spread the virus, everybodyyy!

So, which movie hero or villian are you?

*Warning: Although this site got lots of wonderful stuff,it is kinda adult. Viewer discretion is advised.

Nostradamus Azalea Heh Heh

My predictions on American Idols 4 - 1st male finalist night were accurate. Anwar Robinson and Mario Vasquez did damn good jobs with their singing and performance yesterday. Makes me so happy with my premonitions but then again everything is up to the American voters. Hopefully they can sense real talents. What really amazed me last night was to watch Bo Bice performed. I had never heard him singing but he's actually good. He's good this deep, rocker voice which suited his choice of song perfectly. He sang Drift Away by Uncle Kracker and rocked the crowd. Perfect delivery without pitching or out of tune problems. Ehehe I sounded like one of the AI judges. Ermm.. anyway, I'm confident that my top two favourites will make it. Here's my prediction for the male top 6 finalists :

1. Anwar Robinson
2.Mario Vasquez
3. Bo Bice
4.David Brown
5.Scott Savol
6. Constantine Maroulis

I can still hear Bo Bice singing in my head. The song has been repeating at the back of my mind since I heard him sang last night. If only he works more on the charm...maybe trim the beard or cut his hair... ahah as if that will happen. He looked too old to be an AI (although he's only 29) .Oh well, only time will tell. We just have to wait and watch :D

Here's the catchy chorus:

Give me the beat boys and free my soul
I wanna get lost in your rock and roll and DRIFT AWAY
Give me the beat boys and free my soul

I wanna get lost in your rock and roll and DRIFT AWAY

American Idol Season 4

Yep..it's that time again for American Idol, one of my favourite reality TV show. The final round will start today and will be shown on every Tuesday and Thursday on Astro Channel 70. This fourth season would witness a tougher competition since the contestants are amazingly talented and can sing very well. Unlike Season 3 where Fantasia has already outshine others during the elimination rounds, it's kinda hard this year to predict who's going to bag the American Idol title..but hey, I have my own favourites. I think this year's competition is equal. All 24 male and female finalists is a whole jumble of different styles and music genre. There's R&B, pop, country, classical and even rock. That would be amusingly interesting especially when they have to sing according to the theme songs. Can't imagine Constantine the rocker singing a classical song! He he that would be phenomenal. Anyway, this year I'm putting my bets on the following four which has win my heart over the other finalists *wink *wink. They are Carrie Underwood, Vonzell Solomon, Mario Vasquez and Anwar Robinson. All my favourites seem to be more relaxed, easy-going type who are not too keen to impress the judges (unlike Mikalah Gordon!) but when they opened their mouth to sing,WOW! It's the standing ovation moment. I hope they do well in the final rounds.
Carrie Underwood has a powerful country voice which reminds me a lot of Lee Ann Rimes. I really like her tone and she seems like a sweet next-door girl. Vonzell Solomon has got this unique style of her own be it in her outfit or singing style. It goes to prove that you don't necessarily need to be gorgeous or beautiful in order to be attractive. Mario Vasquez is a really cute guy with that curly hair and forever smiling face. He's got a good voice too and let's not forget Anwar Robinson, the music teacher with a wonderful voice. It wouldn't be suprising to see a guy win this year. Whoever the winner is Good Luck and hopefully he or she is someone who deserves the title. One thing for sure, I will be glued to the TV, wouldn't even want to miss a single show!!

An Encounter With Pharyngitis

I am sick. I have been sick for the past 2 weeks. I have been having this severe cough and it’s really taken a toll on my health. I have been to 4 different clinics and been given 4 different kinds of antibiotics; erythromycin, augmentin and whateva names and 4 different cough syrups. But nothing works. In fact, taking medicine only make me worse, I’ll be coughing and coughing until my eyes were teary. This is the first time that I have gotten a cough this bad, normally coughs will come with some flu or fever but I have no other symptoms. Just this dry irritating cough that doesn’t seem to go away. It is more like “batuk tak lepas” where I will end up coughing and coughing until I felt my body started to ache and my lungs about to burst.
I have taken MC on Monday, then came to work on Tuesday. By then I have seen 3 doctors already. But by Tuesday night I was coughing so bad that Aqus got so worried that he forced me to go to the clinic. It was already 11pm, the Az-Zahrah
was packed with people (I went there for my 3rd doctor consultation of which the Dr told me to come after 5 days for x-ray, 5 days! Are you kidding? I could have died from overcoughing by then) . So we went to Meditec in Precinct 8, Putrajaya. I was exasperated and tired since I couldn’t get any sleep since the very first day the virus invaded my body. The GP was a serious looking female doctor, she listened to me talking on the antibiotics and cough syrup I have taken and me mumbling on my sore throat, body ache and croaking voice. She took a look at my throat and heart beat and told me it wasn’t bronchitis or anything like that, just a bad bacteria. Streptoccocus something..and said nothing can be done about it , it will eventually pass…arrgghh eventually is like when? But at least despite another antibiotic and cough syrup, she prescribed me with a gargle solution and told me to boil hot water and inhale the steam..in through the nose and exhale trough the mouth. Oh well, at least she has some sound advice.
Nevertheless, Aqus suggested that we shud go to the specialist so since his aunt works in HKL, we were lucky to get an appointment for the next day. Normally, we would have to wait for several weeks upon appointment. So, on Wednesday morning, we headed to the specialist clinic. We waited for 2 hours , then it was my turn to see the dr. She was kinda young for a specialist, and after listening to me
rambling on my sickness and medication history bla bla.. ( it was really tiring doing the repeated explanations to different docs), she looked and me and said (with a kinda triumphant smile on her face) :

Doc : You tau tak kenapa you makan antibiotic tapi takde effect on your cough?
Me : Tak doc. Kenapa?
( Duh, you’re the specialist here…)
Doc : Sebab most probably the cough was not due to bacteria but virus, that’s why tak responsive to antibiotics
Me : Ohh…padanla…. (Is this the part when I’m suppose to say Yay! finally I know what was wrong?) Habis tu macammana doc?
Doc : Kalau virus slalunya nothing much you can do, just drink plenty of warm water and gargle. I will prescribe you with the gargle solution (1 point to the Meditec Doc!) , Vitamin C (ermm??) and also cough syrup walaupun it won’t work that well.
Me : Ok doc, tapi kalau tak baik jugak?
Doc : Hari nie u buat blood test and amik throat swab so we can check if it is something else. Kalau tak nak gargle dengan solution pun takpe, u just balik, gargle dengan air + garam. You have a case of pharyngitis, an infection of the throat.

So, that was my encounter with the doctor, then we headed to the pharmacy before going to blood test, by then it was almost 2.00 pm but the pharmacy was swarming with people. It was so packed which was a normal thing for gov hospital. I looked at the list and told my hubby “Errmm..tak payah amik ubat la, sama jer dengan ubat doc yang lepas” which was actually true. So, we headed to the blood test room and was waiting outside since the sign says “Open at 2.30pm – 3.30pm”. We waited until it was 2.30pm but still no sign of the lab assistant or nurse giving out the numbers. They were busy chatting and walking around . Aikk? tak keje ke diorang nie? About 5 mins later, my hubby knocked on the door and asked them what time we can actually do this blood test thingy, and this stupid nurse was saying “ You pegang je ker borang tu dari tadi? Dah nak pukul 3 dah nie.” Haiyaa..memang dah sah-sah kat depan tu suruh amik number, kalau tau dari awal, we would just barged in. Nanti kena marah tak tau protocol pulak…what the *^&$@*& is wrong with these gov servants? Takkan nak lepak jer kot? So the lab person took my blood and throat mucus sample (after searching for the swab, plaster, and what nots yang semuanya macam takde kat situ eventhough clearly stated in front of the room BILIK PENGAMBILAN DARAH)dah la tak pandai cari urat….uwaaa….he put in the syringe the first time, couldn’t find my veins but jolok-jolok jarum tu, rasa cam nak tampar jer. Luckily, he managed to find it the second time or he would have rasakan my tamparan, tak tau ke orang sakit.
So today I am back in the office. Still have the cough especially at night, but I’m feeling much better. I did the water steam thing and gargle. Somehow, it seems to
help.
Thank you so much to my hubby who patiently tendered and cared for me while I was sick eventhough he was busy studying for his exams. He was the one who boiled the water and quick to get me a glass of water when he heard me coughing even in the middle of the night..you are so wonderful, thank you dearie…
I heard that we should bersabar menghadapi penyakit kerana penyakit itu penghapus dosa. Tapi being human, our patience run fast, but I’m glad my encounter with this cough is almost over. Haven’t got the blood test results yet, dunno how long they will take to process, but InsyaALLAH and hopefully nothing serious. Will update on the results later..

5 Muharam 1426 Hijrah = 14 February 2005

We are already entering the new Hijrah year. So, what will your resolution be this Hijrah year? As usual 'berhijrah' is to be a better person secara sahsiah, perlakuan dan peribadi. My resolution will be the same as the Gregorian new year.Hopefully, this year my wishes will come true. I have to work towards achieving my wishes and goals of course. I hope this year would bring a better working environment for me. I want to reach that job satisfaction level that I believe every working people out there strife for. My motivation level is dropping as each day goes by and I'm afraid that I can no longer have the spirit to work.
Today's also Valentine's Day (to those who are celebrating), as for me, it doesn't take a special day to let that someone knows how much you love or care for them. I believe it is an everyday routine to express love to your loved ones.I mean we can never know, if anything might happen any of these days, we hope for the best of course. That's why I let my loved ones know how much I think of them, just giving them a call or dropping a Hi! in their e-mails or YM would do. What if another Valentine's Day never comes by and the loved ones gone before you had the chance to say how much you loved them?

Here's a few tips on how to make this day special.Btw, I got this from the internet:

Valentines Day is NOT only for Lovers
by Catherine Pulsifer

Some people hate to see Valentines Day come around. Some have ended relationships and feel lonely while others have not yet met that someone special. Valentines Day should be a day to share love with those around you. Below are 10 thoughts you can do on Valentines Day to make the day special for you:
1. Look around you and appreciate
those who care about you, be thankful they are in your life.
2. Rather than expect a card, send a card
to someone special in your life (your mum, a relative, a friend) and thank them for being them.
3. Treat yourself on Valentines Day…
if you don't love yourself then you will never be able to love others in a meaningful way.
4. Call your mum or your dad
, or that someone who made a difference in your life and thank them for caring about you.
5. Enjoy your day
, remember, that you are exchanging a day of your life.
6. Take 5 minutes and sit quietly
and reflect on all the blessings in your life. Remember there are always those who are in a worse situation than you.
7. Do something nice for someone today. .
. it may be as simple as smiling at someone in an elevator to buying someone a coffee.
8. Call that friend or relative that you have not talked with in awhile.
9. Cook or buy
your favorite meal for dinner.
10. Last but not least, don't feel sorry for yourself; be thankful for all the good things in your life

Down With The Virus

Today I feel sick. I have been having sore throat and flu since Saturday. I've been coughing phlegm as well. Thanks to the ubelievably hot weather nowadays. I went to pick up my mom at KLIA returning from Mekah on Saturday morning and spend time with her in our house in Kelana Jaya. It was so hot in Kelana Jaya. Rasa macam udara berkuap. By the end of the day i was too weak from the heat, rasa macam nak pitam. Luckily the heat is not so bad in my house in Pinggiran Putra. Somehow my apartment doesn't get too much sun. So, I spend the whole of yesterday watching tv and just lying on the sofa. I was drowsy from the cough syrup and medication. It was a too ordinary weekend but I am so glad and happy that my mom has returned and she is healthy although dia pun batuk-batuk. Thought of getting MC today and hubby was nagging this morning why I still want to go to work, but thinking that tomorrow and the rest of the week I will be on CNY leave, I just dragged myself to work today. Besides, I had already taken MC on last Thursday due to pain in my right wrist. I can't event move my wrist or lift anything, the pain was excruciating. The doctor was saying something about "trapped angin in my saraf" so he got my wrist bandaged. The pain is gone but I have to be careful not to carry heavy stuffs in my right hand. Hmm... so I'm closing this Monkey year with sickness and hopefully the Rooster year will be better for all of us.

Year Of The Rooster

According to the Chinese Calendar, this year would be the Rooster year. I don't believe in fortune telling but it's worth a read for the sake of knowledge. Here's some sneak preview to what this year offers according to the Chinese beliefs.
The Chinese calendar, commonly known as the Farmers calendar, or the Hsia calendar, is a fascinating system, which not only records the passage of time, but is also a tool for fortune-telling. The famous traditional fortune-telling system - the Four Pillars of Destiny - is exactly referring to reading a person's destiny from his birth data as presented in the Hsia calendar format. The unique feature of such calendar is that all information about time - year, month, day and hour are presented in terms of the five basic elements - metal, water, wood, fire, and earth, which are believed to be the basic components of everything in the Universe.
The Year of the Rooster, 2005, in the Hsia calendar, is symbolized by two elements - with wood sitting on top of metal. According to the cycle of birth and destruction, which governs the inter-relationship between elements, metal will destroy wood. Therefore, wood sitting on its destroyer - metal, is a symbol of disharmony and this may lead to international conflicts. However, in the year of the Rooster, the yin wood is symbol of flower which is flexible and easy to adjust to the environment. As such, it is anticipated that the struggle will not be as serious as in 2004. It seems chance of compromise and making peaceful settlements over international issues will be easier to achieve in the year of the Rooster. The Yin wood - in the system of Four Pillars of Destiny, is a symbol of flower and grass which will bend as the wind blows. So it is signal of flexibility, and adjusting oneself according to circumstances. As such, the yin wood year will bring more hope for compromise and resolution of long term conflicts.
The Rooster is a "Flower of Romance" in the system of Four Pillars of Destiny. So a Rooster year will bring more activities related to entertainment and glamorous events. In the negative sense it will also bring controversay of sex scandals among celebrities or in political circle (hmm..wonder who??). The Rooster is yin metal which is symbol of decorative jewellery metal. This metal will often induce more activities in the area of cosmetics, skin care, and other glamorous business such as entertainment, advertising, Public relations
In general, the yin wood Rooster is symbol of more moderate changes and flexibility . The metal cutting the root of the flower still represents hidden danger and disturbance to the foundation. But the flower is by nature moderate and easy to submit. So it will be a year of resolving conflicts and disharmony in international relationship by compromise. And this may lead to longer term peace as from 2006.
The animal sign, which are not so favorable, is the Rabbit, which is into a year of clash against the Rooster. Such clash usually bring about movements. So people born in the year of the Rabbit will anticipate more changes and moves this year, such as traveling, moving house, changing job. It is necessary to carry a pendant of Dragon as protection to attract the Rooster away. For the Rabbit people, the clash against the rooster could also mean surgery, accidents involving breaking of neck or back. It is also recommended to avoid dangerous exercise and pay attention to sitting posture or position. It is not good to travel so much directly to the west especially in the month of September and March , as west is the position of the Grand Duke of the Rooster year.
The other animal sign under negative influences is the Rooster (woo..rooster against rooster?) , which is offending the year and is in self penalty with the year. Penalty is related to hidden danger, hidden sickness and self penalty may relate to disharmony with colleagues, bad competition, or trouble bought about by oneself due to carelessness. So people born in year or day of Rabbit or Rooster should also be careful of their health this year. If clash occurs at the day pillar, it may also affect harmony in the family, it is recommended to minimise chance of such disharmony but taking more trips, or taking the chance to move house if necessary.
The better animals signs in the year of the Rooster are the Dragon, and the Snake (wohoo..that's me) and Ox, as they are in combine relationship with the Rooster, so will be into a more harmonious year. There is some good news for people born in the year of the Monkey, Rat and Dragon , they will be into a year favorable for romance. However, such animal astrology is not totally reliable as the system is not recognized as formal kind of fortune-telling. It requires more information than just the birth year to determine a person's luck.
